It was an absolutely beautiful day today so I did a little planting, actually a little cleaning out pots and planting. I thought I would share a few things that made it through our unusually cold winter, and I am in hopes that they will grow as abundantly as they did last year.
Little shoots from my spider plants.
I stuck these in the pot at the end of the summer, and they made it.
I pulled all of this from the pots,
and
this is what I have now.
Next week I will be dividing these.
You will not believe the roots under these tiny little plants.
Oak Leaf Hydrangeas
These came from a neighbor's plant that had lots of new shoots and she was willing to share with me. I will probably be collecting a few more of these, because the blooms make beautiful flower arrangements. What economical gardening tips do you have to share? Hope you are enjoying Spring as much as I am.
Have a blessed Easter.

Hey Gal! I have got to get outside and tend to some of our dead stuff! My landscaping looked so great before the freezes!! We're still not sure our lawn will come back!
Looks like you're off to a good start! Can't wait to see your hydrangeas! They're a fave of mine!!
Have a joyous Easter!!
HUGS,

Would you come grow some plants for me! I think my thumb must be dark brown!
But, I do appreciate your green thumb and the photos!
Thanks for sharing, and thanks for stopping by my blog to share comments with me!
Blessings to you,
Melanie
I'm all poked full of holes...gotta be careful when I drink, I may leak like one of those cartoon characters. I've been workin' in my rose garden today. I've got a big dump truck load of mulch comin' in this week and I'm tryin' to clean out all the beds. Your plants are gonna be amazing!
God bless and have a terrific Tuesday!!!
Oh I love spider plants!

Oh, oh! Oak leaf hydrangeas are so lovely.
I'm not sure I have any tips, but I love to divide and share and enjoy when other gals have shared with me.
Just thought of a tip---if you ever notice a house being moved or torn down so the property can be developed commercially, ask if you can go and dig up plants. We did this years ago with a friend and were able to get some beautiful irises, some periwinkle ground cover and some large stones.
