Sensational Sales......

I had told myself I would not get up early Saturday morning and go hopping from yard sale to yard sale, but as you will see my sweet husband changed my mind and I am glad he did! Let me show you a few of my finds. Keep in mind this is not everything. It was one of those days I had to practice some self-control.

How do you like these little dessert dishes?

I bought a large collection of these at an estate sale, and these will be added to it.

How about this little guy?
6 salt cellars with glass spoons......
One of my husband's all time favorite movies....

Pretty cream colored plate.........

Did you notice the black bench that everything was sitting on?

Yes, that was part of the find too! One of my FAVORITES!

So you ask, what was the grand total for everything?
Dessert dishes .50
Dog Figurine 1.00
Salt Cellars & Spoons 2.00
Movie .50
Plate .25
Bench (new) 25.00
Grand Total $29.25

This is a little more than my usual yard sale spending, but the bench was worth it. I also picked up a few yards of fabric, my husband got an exercise jump rope, a shirt, spoon rest, and I guess that is about it. It is unusual in our area to find many good sales at all particularly this time of year. You never know. Did you have any fabulous finds this weekend? I'd love to hear about them.
Have a wonderful week, I may be in and out. I am headed to my daughters to deliver Chloe.

So glad someone found something this weekend. As it proved true, you never know what you will find...in our case, nothing, but so happy you found some treasures! The bench is a FIND!

GREAT finds..and the little dog looks bigger than you normally find...very cute!! I LOVE the bench and it doesn't look like you will need to do anything to it...I also went thrifting and yard saleing (no clue if that is spelled right) on Saturday and I will post those on Tues. On Monday I am posting some tassels I made....yes, I made some and they were so much fun!!
Bye, Bye Chloe..hope you had a fun visit!

Those are some awesome finds. That really is not much money considering all of the great stuff you found. I love the little dessert dishes and the plate.

I love everything! I would have bought all that too except the movie. I do not like that at all! :) I think it is a total guy movie. That bench is awesome!

Love your bench! I think $25 is a great price for it and it's black! How lucky is that. Great finds!

I haven't had much luck at yard sales but this weekend I'm headed to Charleston so I'm hopeful for some lucrative thrifting and yard saleing, lol

I recently bought what look to be the same salt cellars! Mine were a set of six in a little box, so I know they're Czech (thanks to the box) so think yours may be, too. What great (and reasonably priced!) finds. Thanks for stopping by my blog! :-)

Thanks for visiting me on my blog. My shopping this weekend wasn't as successful as yours :( Oh well, maybe next time. The bench would be my favorite too!

I love your bench, love it all:)

I got a small elephant night light lamp for $4...I know it sounds tacky, lol, but it's really nice, it looks like something that would have came from Bombay or a store like that.

Since I was with both of my boys, my younger son got the neatest airplane fan for $2 and my older son got a signed Red Wing hockey puck for $4 and an action video movie free ;)

I wish we had more sales around here, I miss going to them!

Bella :)

I love your finds. I never seem to make it out to hit yard sales. I really should, I know I would love it.

The bench is so great. I would love to have one like it.

Thanks for stopping by my bloggy. The birds are some sort of ceramic. I'm still not sure what to do with them, they just looked liked they needed a home.

Just stopped by again and still hearting your bench! You totally stole it, so wishing I had such luck. Managed to find a bench with spindled(?) back for $50 on Charleston Craigslist...But I think there are better deals to be had if I have some patience and a little less bench envy (hehehe).

BTW - where did you put your lovely bench? wanna see!

Our family used to live in Denmark & I would see your ceramic dog at antique sales. They were always sold in pairs & the story I was told is that in the little danish fishing villages, women would put the dogs in the front window & use them as a secret code for their lover. If the dogs faced outward, the coast was clear & the lover could come a knockin'. But, if the dogs faced inwards, then the fisherman husband was off his boat & at home, so stay away. The original dogs were extremely valuable, so yours must be a reproduction. At $1, it was still a steal!
