It's Boy!

Remember I told you a while back that I'm going to be a Grandma?

Well today, we found out that it is going to be a BOY!
Can't wait!  Ansley's due date is September 23, so she's almost half- way there. She and baby are doing well. Please continue to pray that her UC meds will not adversely affect our little boy.

They have been able to come up with plenty of Girl names, but no Boy names, so I know she would love to hear some of your ideas. They are looking for an old fashioned name vs. trendy. Of course I am not sure that they are not all somewhat old fashioned after looking on the internet at name ideas.

Ansley surprised me with a short visit this weekend. She just needed a dose of her Mama. She shopped my house, and took back several odds and ends to add to her decor. That is the best kind of shopping! We had fun, ate out, groomed Chloe, visited with some friends she used to work with, had a good day at church, and before we knew it, it was time for her to go.

Have a blessed week, and let's hear those baby names!

Jackie

Congratulations! My husband and I are currently trying to conceive, so we've been talking about names A LOT. So I've got a few names for you, haha. Our top 10 boy names are:
Emmett, Elliot, Lucas, James, Joshua, Russell, Simon, Sean, Russell, and Malcolm. I hope these help :-)

Woohoo, congratulations! I have always loved William (Will), Nathan (Nate) and Andrew (Drew) for boy names. Unfortunately for me all those names are already used in our immediate family. :)

YES, wait to make the cake until you have people around. I tend to eat WAY too much of it if I make it and have it sitting around the house! Thankfully it's my husband's favorite so he takes pieces for lunch and it goes pretty fast.

Grandsons are great.... we have a 3yr old one that is sooo much fun and sooo sweet! His name is Colten Wade, two names I really like. I also like Graham and Jackson (Jack). I know they will pick just the right one. Will pray for health for mom and baby!

Congratulations! One of the couples in our church that is expecting a boy this summer is planning to name him Carter. We think that's kind of funny, because our daughter is marrying Anthony Carter! My grandfather's name was Earl, another old name you don't hear these days.

Congratulations! Maybe your grandson will be born on my birthday, the 24th!

I've always loved the name Cameron and if my daughter had been a boy, we would have a Cameron in the family.

It's so weird - I was thinking of asking you what Ansley was having and if she wanted baby stuff!!
We have a crib mattress, lots of crib sheets and TONS of clothes if she would like them!
Let me know and I will hold on to them til you're in town to pick them up :)

I visit every-so-often, but don't always comment. I'm a little late on this, but still wanted to share my 2 cents...I still love the name we chose for our son "Brennan." I also love the name Noah. Little boys are so very precious! So very happy for you!

Conrats on a little grandson. You will have so much fun!!

Oh and some names that I love are Ian, Andrew, Christopher, Alexander (nickname Zander), Seth (if Chloe had been a boy, this was the name we were going to use), Henry, Sebastien and Owen (we were going to use this as a middle name). Our son is Ian Alexander, so I had to put both of those. : )

I just did a post last week about the new thing in names: bird names. Oh and currently old fashioned boys names like Frank is back and any boy name with an X in it, like Felix or Dexter.

I thought Frank was an odd name for a baby, but now the idea is growing on me.
