More Random Things.....

Kate at My Messy Nest has tagged me to share 7 random things about myself. I am warning you in advance these are very random, so here goes.

1. I have loaded my daughter up at least 10 times to MovE her somewhere. Keep in mind she is only 26.

2. My favorite cake of all time is Coconut. I can probably thank my Great-Grandmother for this. When she made one, she bought a fresh coconut, grated in by hand and made it completely from scratch. DELICIOUS I tell you!

3. I am a CoNtrOl FrEak , who has improved a lot, but I still like to be the driver. When my husband and I travel, I am usually driving, with a few exceptions, like this weekend when we were pulling a loaded trailer of my daughters things (one of those 10 loads I was telling you about.

4. I have only owned 2 new cars in my life. One was a LemOn!! and one was great.

5. I have watched "You've Got Mail" too many times to count. I call it my ironing movie.

6. FaLL is my favorite season. I love it!! I love the changing leaves, cooler weather and pumpkins.

7. I confess to forgetting where I park at Wal-Mart too many times, then trying to look somewhat DigNiFied and InCONspIcuOUs as I search for it. I actually had a kind employee once, who must have felt sorry for me, look for it one time. If your weren't already, you are probably beginning to wonder about me. I DO sometimes.

So there you have it my 7 VerY RanDoM things about me. I am supposed to tag seven more people or less . So here are the people that I would like to hear from:

1. Christina and Victoria at As Time Goes By (sisters)
2. Runner Mom
3. Simply Dandy
4. The Handmade Housewife
5. For the Love of My Home & Life
6. The Hancock Family

Here are the guidelines for this tag:

1. Link back to the person who tagged you (me).
2. "TAG" 7 people or less if you like, and link to them on your blog.
3. Be sure to comment on the Blogs of others who were tagged.
4. Let them know they have been tagged.

Have a wonderful week, and remember I am coming up on my 100th post.

Jackie,

My favorite cake is coconut, too! Isn't it yummy??? Also, I have the same problem as you in not being able to remember where I've parked my car at Wal-Mart. I'm glad I'm not the only one!

Have a great Monday!

That was so much fun to read...was thinking of doing something like that for my 100th post but can't even think of anything noteworthy to share! Your coconut cake sounds exactly like my mom's (and her mom's etc.)....how yummo!!

What fun things about you :) I lose my car a lot, too - I just start pressing my key's *lock* button, so I can hear my horn, & that way I can find my car. :)

I just love reading these things. My oldest daughter loves coconut cake and is just chomping at the bit to make one.

Jackie,

Thanks for tagging Christina & I!!! We'll have to fight over who gets to list the random things. ;)

She LOVES You've Got Mail and puts it on to play all the time.

Fall - Christmas is my favorite time of year as well. I just love it!

Have a great day!

Oh yes, we are two peas in a pod. I love YGM and can say many of the lines, just like my hubby can do for The Princess Bride.

I have a real coconut in the brown shrunken shell (the one over the hairy shell) that a friend brought back from FL. I don't know what to do w/it. It scares me.

Finally got my post up for today. I never seem to get to blogging until late in the day.

I usually remember where I park. But on one trip to Florida we had a rental car. Went into a store. Came back out and tried to get in the wrong car. It was the same make and color as our rental. That was embarrassing. We checked the license plate to make sure we had the right car after that.

"You've got Mail" is one of my favorites too. I will stop anything I'm doing just to watch it. I'm fascinated by her book store.

Okee dokee--from your slack-o bloggy friend who is JUST getting back to you with the tagging!! I am so sorry! It's been another wild and crazy week--is it ok if I simply tell you 7 random things? You're so sweet, I'm sure it'll be fine!!!!! So...1) I love pound cake. 2) I hate sit-ups! 3) I took piano for 8 years--I remember how to play Chop Stix! 4) I don't eat chocolate--that's the one that freaks out people! I simply don't like it!5) I really am bothered when my sink is full of dirty dishes waiting their turn for the dishwasher--which needs to be unloaded!6) My first car was bright yellow.7) I love gardening.

Well, pretty random! Hope that you have a great weekend, girlfriend!
Hugs,
Susan

Hi there,
I haven't been by for a while. I scrolled down to see the purse you'll be making. I'll be anxious to see the finished product.
Also, we have the same favorite movie. My favorite quote: "This place is a tomb. I'm going to the nut shop, where it's fun." Hee-hee! : )

Hey Jackie! I promise I'm gonna get these done! We have been so busy with my husband's stepdad just getting out of the hospital and Logan's birthday.

I understand the parking lot thing. I always lose my car. My kids get so embarrassed. Just found your blog. It is really cute and creative.

I've watched "You've Got Mail" countless times too! Don't worry about losing your car at Walmart. If I didn't have one of those remote thingys that lock/unlock my door while blinking the headlights I'd never find mine too! Another trick: I hang a heart shaped ornament from my rearview mirror, and sometimes if I just scan the parking lot I can spot it quickly!
