New Adventure

Ok, here it is. After being inspired by so many of you, I have finally ventured out to start this blog. I hope to share some inspiration with you about life, home, family my little projects and more. Nester's IDHTBPTBB challenge is actually what made me take the plunge. I wanted so much to get in on the fun over there. So with the help of my DH I am going to give it a try ,a day late.
I love my back porch even though it is definitely not perfect. My grandmothers potbelly stove holds part of my plants and that is a reminder of someone very special to me, definitely something beautiful.

Your chairs are lovely and how how I would love to sit out there!

I agree with the Nester, 4 comments on your first day, unheard of! You're off to a great start, welcome to bloggerville! I wish I could keep plants living, lol, yours look great in your stove, what a sweet way to keep memories alive.

Beautiful pictures! I found your blog from the comment you left on Nesting Place. What brought me here was the title - Empty Nest Full of Life. My only child is getting ready to leave and I'm praying for the ability to keep my tears at bay until she pulls out of the driveway!

Hi Jackie. I as far as designing a blog page... it's been trial and error for me. Basically I played around with the settings and colors until I found something I liked. Then I started using my photos as banners.. using Firefox to add type over them. I'm not a techy person... but my hubs is an art director/graphic designer so I keep hoping he'll come redo mypage for me someday! :)
