I need to go shopping with you! Those are my kind of prices!
I love thrifting!! Especially for my little girl!!
I did decoupage a bucket once, with paper. I used mod podge-brush it on the bucket, lay your paper, repeat until you cover the bucket. Joy's Hope{I think its just .com} did a tutorial on covering a bucket with fabric.
Hope that helps!!
Elise
I also enjoy thrifting...but never have much luck with clothes. (Seems not to many skinny girls are giving up their big clothes :) more the other way around!) Super cute skirt!
I am so sorry. I pulled the Mr. Linky thing since there have been so many problems with it. That is on their end - not yours or mine. They are trying to figure out the problem. I will let you know when I am going to do another Frugal Fashionista Fashion Show and then you can link up with this, but can you leave this url link in the comments and hopefully people will head over from that.
But, when it said
operation abort, does my blog close? I had someone else say that, but I think it was from using internet explorer. Is that what you use? I'll have to look into that since that would be my problem.
Mr. Linky has gotten too popular and they don't know how to handle all the traffic.
Good finds!! :)
Are you going to be in our area tomorrow by any chance? The base is having their base wide sale and it should be good! It was amazing last year.
I also just found out about a thrift store in Columbia county that is suppose to be really nice. The clothes are cheaper than the local Goodwill (which is pretty over priced!) and the books are all .10 cents a piece!
It's only open Tuesdays and a couple Saturdays a month, or something like that... still waiting for more details on it. But if you're here on a Tuesday and need something to do I could give you directions or go with you!
On craigslist (where I saw it posted) it says 9-2.
I'm not sure where you could find a map of the base, but unless you know the base and how to get around it the housing areas aren't clearly labeled and last year it was pretty tricky finding the different neighborhoods - I think I only hit 3 of them!
Paul will be with me tomorrow though since he has the day off, and he should know the area better :) But I can look on their website and see if there's a map you could print off.
Getting on the base is easy, though they may pull you over and ask to see your registration and insurance and inspect your car for bombs :)
That was quick - I found a map of the base and while it should be clear enough to figure out how to get to the neighborhoods :)
I can send it to you if you're interested, or you can google the base, look for visitor info, and then click on maps and then click on base map.
Those are some great finds and the prices were fantastic. I love seersucker--It is so cool in this hot climate. It is amazing what wonderful things are out there. I have really found my daughter some cute things lately at Goodwill.
