This morning I was thinking about what I should post. Not much creativity going on, this weekend. I want to be very real in my posts, so here it is, a few of the simple things that my sweet husband and I enjoyed this weekend. Hope you enjoy too!
A row of sunflowers that turned out not to be quite as large as the package indicated.
Up Close
A bucket of corn from two young salemen that a friend and I purchased which turned out to be quite interesting. I will just say what we ended up with tasted very good!
Last but not least the strawberry fig preserves that I made from the figs we picked. Sometimes for me it is the simple things that bring the most enjoyment. How about you?
Have a blessed day!

Love the sunflowers! I want to plant the really tall ones along my back fence.
I love your simple things! Now I'm in the mood for corn on the cob and a bouquet of sunflowers.
Hi~ Thanks for coming over and commenting on my blog! What a beautiful blog you have here! I'll have to try your bundt cake soon...and those fig preserves sound wonderful! Thanks for introducing yourself! I'll be back again! ;)
Pretty sunflowers, yummy corn, and I love me some figs. My favorite is lemon fig preserve. I bought some corn this weekend too and its waiting for me to roast it.

It's always the simple things for me too. Blue skies, birds singing, fresh flowers. Thanks for sharing the pictures!
I love the sunflowers! I'm still waiting for mine to bloom. They are suppose to be the giant ones, perfect for drying the entire head. I have hopes of putting the head and all out in the winter for the birds.
A bucket full of corn on the cob... that makes me happy! I've got some homemade blackberry jam at home waiting for me.... that makes me pretty happy.
Oh yeah, and I didnt make it. Which means it will actually be good. :) So again, that makes me happy.
Just wanted to say hi and thank you for the sweet comment. Susie h~
I love the sunflowers! I didn't have much luck with them, but my mom was able to grow them the size of dinner plates & larger when she was in NC.
