Practical Info, and no pictures......

In doing some checking on our homeowners insurance, I came across some very interesting information that you all might be interested in.

*Be sure to make any updates with your insurance company when making improvements on your property. Our new roof got my husband and I to thinking about this, and guess what we are under insured.

*The most interesting thing that I found out, is that since our area is included in the hurricane area for FL, even though we are not in FL there is a restriction right now to be able to make any changes to our policy. We will have to wait until all hurricane warnings have subsided before we can make any updates to our policy. I never knew that. The insurance has put what is called a binder restriction on any changes. I never knew anything like this existed, we have an older home, and that is why we don't have updated coverages. Interesting info that would be worth checking out especially if you have an older home.

I'll try to be a little more fun tomorrow. Have a great day! Jackie

Those bed risers are really stable. Especially on carpet. The only thing is they come in sets of 4 and most beds have a middle leg too so you might have to buy 2 sets. THey are only like $10 a set and you can use a BB&B coupon if you have one in your area. Or if you are like me, you can stack up books under the middle leg. :) Hope that helps!

Oh my,When I read your name Empty Nest. "I thought that's me"! So, I came in for a visit. Then,I read your profile... 2 children,1 married,1in college,me, me, me! My son was married last summer. Although my second son opted to attend our local college he's living in our condo down the road. Which leaves hubby's and my nest empty. I can usually bribe my son(on occasion) home for visits with a home cooked meal.;)
Please come visit my (new) blog.I'll be getting some posts up now that I've learned to navigate a little better. I guess you can teach an old dog new tricks.lol Shhh you never heard that from me!(grinning)
I went to Liz's blog. What a laugh!!
Have a *Sweet Day!

Very good information to know! I know you can't change or get a new homeowner/flood policy while there is a hurrican warning but I totally forgot to tell them about our porch. Duh! Thanks!

You asked me where I get these sites from . . . I work for a graphic design firm and the designers are always passing on sites that involve design, manipulation of images, stuff like that. Some of it I just delete right away but this one was too good to pass up.

Thanks for the info. Our insurance company actually contacted us and asked about our roof.
