Pillow Case Dress for the Birthday Girl

Here's my latest little project.

My daughter was needing a birthday present for a friend's daughter, and wanted to give something more that just another little toy, and asked if I would make her a pillow case dress. I had been out of town until yesterday afternoon. See the thing is, I had to get it in the mail today so she would have it in time for the party. I dropped it in the mail just a little while ago, and hope it fits! I am not the quickest seamstress around, but I really want what I make to look well done (pitfalls of not completely giving up being a perfectionist!)

Here is a close up of the bottom of the dress.

Not the best picture, but here it is. I have another little project in the works and hope to show it to you by the end of the week. Have a wonderful Wednesday!

Great job on the dress! I like that you made the ties out of a coordinating fabric. Very sweet!

Beautiful! I have only attempted one because I had a hard time with the armholes. :(

Hi Jackie! The pillowcase dress is adorable. I remember when my daughter was at the age where she would wear cute things like that. Now she is closing in on 13 and things are so different. ; )

I completely get your "It's been awhile" post too. I have had to step away for awhile, but hope to be getting back to reading regularly and posting very soon. It all just got to me.

Hope you had a good birthday in February.

If all goes well I may even have a project to post this coming week. They have been few and far between. I'm finally ready to get back on the horse. : )
