South Georgia SNOW?

Yes, it does snow in south Georgia!

Across our fence this morning.

I went for a drive and took in the beauty of it all.

While I was driving I thought, how amazing it is that a little snow could change my perspective. An empty field blanketed with snow became a thing of beauty. What a gift from God to have this day, being able to see beauty in the common things.
I also was reminded of the song "Whiter Than Snow". It was like a record playing over and over in my mind, and it was as if God said, "That is what I have done for you!" Something as unlovely as me, became beautiful in His sight because of the blood that Jesus shed for me. What an awesome thing to be reminded of today!

"Come now, let us reason together," says the LORD. "Though your sins are as scarlet, they will be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they will be like wool." Isaiah 1:18
Blessings,
Jackie

We have had a lot less snow in Vermont than the past 3 years. As a southerner, I am so thankful! But, y'all are really having some weather for there! I read and read, back to LL Bean. It is pretty nearby, as much as anything is when you live in Vermont. We should go since my husband really wants to!

Thanks for stopping by.

Oh Jackie so much has happened since I've been by here!!!! I haven't been visiting blogs like I used to (new forthcoming when I have time to post).

First, I am so excited that you will be a Grandma!!!!! YAY! You are going to have a blast.

Secondly, yes, we sure enjoyed the snow! Sweet Girl LOVED it. I think we had about 4 inches which is unbelievable for us.

Love the teapot you found at GW! My finds have been slim lately too.

Finally, I can so relate to your saying that your perfectionism gets in the way of opening your home. When I get over it and have others over I am so glad I did!!! I love your table setting. It is beautiful and looks perfect for a month with so much red. :) LOVE the Christmas napkins and Camelias.

Hi Jackie,

Thanks for your little note on our blog. Life got in the way lately and our unplanned blogging break just kept getting longer and longer.

Looks like you have some wonderful news. How exciting for your daughter and son-in-law and of course for grandma!! What a wonderful little blessing. God *is* good and what great news about her treatment cost.

Your snow pictures are beautiful. What a wonderful drive it must have been with that scenery. Love the old tractor picture. I know that you are even farther south than we are and your snow is even few and farther in between than ours : ) What a wonderful verse to come to mind during your drive. I am so thankful that our sins are covered with His precious blood. A sacrifice that we will never deserve, but was freely given.
