I am a little late posting today's project because I had to substitute teach today, and I had church last night and was just too tired to get the post ready. This project is quite simple, just a little more time consuming. I have not yet perfected the way to get the pattern, well perfect. I can be a little ridiculous about trying to perfect something and get frustrated if I don't think it is just right, but here goes. First you will need one of these. This is a small clipboard, about 1.39 at Staples.
Next, some of this. Just pick your favorite pattern.
Some of this and one of these.

And there you have it. Not just another ordinary clipboard! I will be helping my daughter make some of these to give as Christmas gifts too. Let me know if you have any questions. You could also add the recipients initial at the bottom. I will probably do the back in a coordinating color. Have a wonderful evening. I will try to be a little earlier tomorrow! Jackie

Very cute - I'm sure I have some of these lying around the house. I'll have to pretty them up a little.
Lovely idea. I use a clipboard at work all the time. All of us therapists each have our own clipboard. That is our necessary thing to have every day at work. Mine will really stand out if I pretty it up.
So cute and I just saw these basic clip boards at wal-mart today!
That is great..love it!!! I have one in my car and I think it needs a little decorating!

That is so easy and turned out so cute for an ordinary clipboard!!! That would make some great teacher gifts!
That is so cute!! I am a scrapbooker and have lots and lots of papers, but I haven't ever used modge podge. I keep seeing things I want to do, so I guess I'll be purchasing some soon!
Thanks for sharing.

Those are great gift ideas and I love that they are inexpensive too!
These clipboards are so cute. What a great gift for teachers!
Thank you for sharing how you did it. I also love the coasters you made. I plan on making lots of these for Christmas gifts.
Have a wonderful weekend!
LOVE this! And, I think I could actually do this too (being as non-crafty as I am). Thanks for the great tip!!!
I want to do this to all those brown, boring, clipboards I've got laying around. What a simple idea with such fantastic results! Good one, thanks for sharing.
Sweet Wishes,

Jackie~ I LOVE this idea! What an awesome and inexpensive gift idea! It seems like a great project for my daughter and me to do together.
I've missed keeping up with your blogs, and am enjoying catching up!
It turned out great!
Here is my question:
I tried this, but the 12x12 paper was about an inch short. Did you run into this? Any easy solutions? Also, did you use and exacto knife around the edges and the clip?
This is a great project and it turned out so well. I have been wanting to try this for a while too.
